Built in collaboration with The Special Forces Foundation, this ruck is a 30K march (walk/run) with a rucksack weighing 11kg at both the start and finish line. Dry non-perishable goods are encouraged to be used for the 24.25lbs and can be donated at the end of the event to fight hunger in our community.
Active-duty, veterans, and civilians are all welcome to participate in this challenging event. Finish within the allotted time to be awarded the coveted Norwegian Foot March Badge and Certificate! All participants will receive t-shirts, headbands, and a finishing medal upon completion.
Ruck March Early Bird Pricing:
$100 until May 15th, 2026
Proceeds from the event directly support Veterans to Veterans, The Special Forces Foundation, and Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center, strengthening programs that empower veterans and military families right here at home.
Requirements for Norwegian Foot March
IMPORTANT NOTICE…. This event has just been approved by the Norwegian Embassy for civilian attire to include military participants.
Civilian participants (including military) must wear clothing similar to a military combat uniform (including long pants and boots) with a total weight equal to 1.5 kilograms / 3.3 pounds. Merrell style boots are acceptable. Civilians (including military) are not required to use a military-issued rucksack and may use a civilian hiking backpack. Using weighted vests, body armor, or weight plate carriers toward the weight requirement is not authorized. Individual participants may wear these items in addition to the rucksack weight requirement, but it is not encouraged.

Because the Colorado Challenge Series is a charity event, all registrations are non‑refundable. Every dollar directly supports local veterans and the nonprofit programs that serve them.
If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to donate your registration spot to a lower‑enlisted service member, giving them the opportunity to participate in your place. Thank you for understanding.
